Skiing around Goldegg

Ski areas in the Province of Salzburg

The Province of Salzburg is well known for its ski areas and for perfect conditions just waiting to be experienced in winter, be it the huge ski areas of Ski amadé or the ideal beginners’ ski area for children with ski school options.

Ski amadé – Austria’s largest ski area alliance

270 cable-car installations and an incredible 760 kilometers of ski slopes are accessible with only one ticket within the Ski amadé Ski Alliance. Thus the ski areas in the Province of Salzburg and of Styria represent one of the largest European winter sports regions. You reach the ski areas of Hochkönig, Gasteinertal, Großarltal and Sportwelt Salzburg within 40 minutes by car in the vicinity of Goldegg.

Service for skiers at the Seehof Hotel

The Seehof is not located in a ski region, yet the Seehof shuttle takes you to one of the close-by ski areas daily. Our Seehof ski guide shows you the most beautiful ski slopes including a stop-off at a ski hut.  This service gets offered free of charge daily during the holiday season and it is also free of charge for groups of 6 or more during off season times. You also get back quickly and in an easy way to the Seehof Hotel. Your particular advantage: we choose the ski area with the best snow and weather conditions daily.

Family Ski Area Buchberg @ Goldegg

Our youngest guests are well looked after at Goldegg’s Buchberg very close to the hotel: three ski lifts turn the Buchberg into a quaint and manageable ski area suiting the needs of children and their  parents in search of relaxation with its own ski school. Special ski classes for children are offered.

Learn how  to ski in the Province of Salzburg

Particularly the ski areas of Ski amadé are very well suited for learning how to ski, a sport characteristic of Austria.  Hire a private instructor and, within a few training lessons, enjoy and experience the ski area from a different vantage point.  Highly-trained instructors know also very well how to take best care of experienced athletes eager to try out a new style, interested in backcountry randonee skiing or a freeride slope.

You can be very much looking forward to a relaxed ski vacation at the heart of the Province of Salzburg:  the Alpine sauna awaits you after your day full of skiing.  Having an aperitif at the Austro Magnum Bar anticipating your dinner menu could be another option.

Please send us a non-binding inquiry for your relaxing and individual ski holiday from the beginning of December to the end of March!
